Visit the Grounds
A peaceful place to walk, pray, and rest — open to all.
For more than seventy years, Glastonbury Abbey has been a an inviting space for those seeking serenity, where neighbors, travelers, and seekers come to slow down. Set on quiet, wooded grounds on the South Shore of Boston, in Hingham, Massachusetts, the Abbey is open to anyone who would like to visit — whether for an hour of prayer, a walk under the trees, a moment of quiet in the Abbey Church, or simply the chance to step out of the noise of the day.
No appointment is needed. No reservation is required. You do not need to be Catholic to visit.
In the Benedictine tradition, every guest is welcomed as Christ — and that welcome extends to everyone.
